Inauguration of Passport Seva Kendra at Belagavi
The Government of India has been consistently committed to the provision of essential facilities and services not just in the metros but also in tier two cities across the country. In order to facilitate the provision of passport services, the Passport Seva Kendra has been established at Belagavi Post Office. The said facility was inaugurated by Shri Suresh Angadi, Member of Parliament, Belagavi on 14th Feb 2018. The occasion was graced by the presence of Shri Dnyaneshwar Mulay, Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs along with Shri Bharath Kumar Kuthati, Regional Passport Officer, Bengaluru and Smt Veena Srinivas, Post Master General, North Karnataka Region. Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Dr Prabhakar Kore addressed the gathering on the occasion and welcomed the initiative which has been a long-standing demand of people in the city and beyond. The establishment of the Passport Seva Kendra comes as a blessing to the region which boasts of several industrial establishments, educational and healthcare institutions.
