KLE Technological University, Hubballi, proudly celebrated its 7th Convocation on December 13, 2025, at the Hubballi campus, marking a landmark in academic excellence. The ceremony featured distinguished dignitaries, including Chief Guest Mr. Seetarama (Swamy) Kotagiri, CEO of Magna International, Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Pro-Chancellor Prof. Ashok Shettar, and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Prakash Tewari.
The event began with Prof. Prakash Tewari presenting the university report, highlighting recent academic achievements, faculty contributions, and institutional advancements. Next, Chief Guest Mr. Kotagiri delivered his convocation address, titled “The Compass That Guided Me.” He shared his inspiring journey from humble beginnings in Aswaraopeta and Shahabad to leading a global organization. He emphasized hard work, integrity, courage, and gratitude while urging graduates to dream big. Moreover, he introduced his “Four Quadrant Plan” for personal, professional, family, and societal goals. He encouraged students to follow the principle, “leave it better than you found it.”
This year, 2,471 students earned degrees across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs from Hubballi, Belagavi, and Bengaluru campuses. The graduating cohort included 1,502 boys and 969 girls, with 43 medals awarded for academic excellence. The university conferred 15 gold medals and 22 silver medals, recognizing top performers. Additionally, 24 doctoral degrees marked the third cohort of PhDs. Notably, Civil Engineering student Shrivatsa Sudhindra Bhavikatti earned two gold medals, including the prestigious Dr. S. S. Bhavikatti Gold Medal.
With more than 5,000 participants, including faculty, parents, and well-wishers, the KLE Technological University 7th convocation celebrated academic accomplishment with pride and enthusiasm. Finally, Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Prabhakar Kore officially closed the ceremony, inspiring graduates to embrace leadership, innovation, and excellence in all their future endeavors.
