• Chairman, KLE Society, Belagavi since 1984.
• Under his leadership KLE has grown from 38 educational institutions in 1984 into an organization with 310 institutions, 1,45,000 students and 18,000 employees
• Expanded the KLE service profile in Education and added the facets of Healthcare, Research and Agriculture
• Established the multi-disciplinary KAHER – KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (Deemed-to-be-University), Belagavi in 2006 for health sciences and allied disciplines
• Established the KLE Technological University (KLE TECH), Hubballi in 2015
• Commenced institutions that offer professionals courses in health sciences, engineering, management and law in rural areas and Tier II cities
• Established state-of-the-art English Medium Schools in the rural areas of Ankali, Chikodi, Athani, Gokak, Nipani, Saundatti and Malur
• Upgraded the infrastructure and facilities in the rural institutions

KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research Belagavi

Research:

• Provided impetus to Research in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, etc. by establishing a state-of-the-art Basic Sciences Research Centre at the KAHER Campus
• Established the Women’s and Children’s Health Research Unit at KLE J N Medical College. The research unit is a part of the global network initiative of the National Institute of Health, USA, is contributing to path breaking research in Maternal and New Born Health Care. The centre is designated as a “WHO Collaborating Center for Research in Maternal and Perinatal Health”.
• Facilitated academic & research collaborations with renowned international organizations like National Institute of Health (NIH), USA, WHO, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, etc.
