KLE Ayushmati Ayurveda Spa inauguration marked a defining milestone by KAHER’s Shri B. M. Kankanwadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi. The world class wellness facility was inaugurated on on December 16, 2025. This represents a significant step in strengthening the integration of classical Ayurveda with contemporary wellness practices. Moreover, it reflects KLE Society’s sustained commitment to advancing holistic healthcare through institutionally driven initiatives rooted in Indian knowledge systems.
Hon. Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Government of Karnataka, formally inaugurated the facility and led the ceremonial lamp lighting. While addressing the gathering, he emphasized Ayurveda’s growing relevance in preventive and promotive healthcare. Furthermore, he acknowledged KLE’s role in preserving traditional medical wisdom while aligning it with scientific frameworks. He also noted that the spa would benefit the public and simultaneously create meaningful clinical exposure and hands-on training opportunities for Ayurveda students.
Dr. Shalini Rajaneesh, IAS, Hon. Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka, lauded KLE Society’s leadership in promoting integrative healthcare models. In addition, Dr. Devika Deshmukh, MD (Ayu), highlighted Ayurveda’s strong scientific foundation and its effectiveness in lifestyle disorder management and wellness care. Meanwhile, Shri Abhay Patil, Hon. MLA, Belagavi South, appreciated KLE’s consistent service to society through healthcare and education.
Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Chairman, KLE Society, and Chancellor, KAHER, expressed satisfaction over the establishment of world-class facilities for Ayurvedic treatment. He reiterated KLE Society’s unwavering commitment to promoting education, research, and service in Ayurveda. Subsequently, Dr. Suhas K. Shetty, Principal, highlighted the spa’s academic, clinical, and community impact, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care. The programme was presided over by Shri Mahantesh Koujalagi, President, KLE Society, who reaffirmed the vision of value-based education and service.
