I feel immense joy launching the new community project for maternal health research at KLE J N Medical College. This prestigious collaboration includes Columbia University, New York University, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Our team aims to revolutionize maternal safety using AI-driven retinal imaging.
We identify early biomarkers through non-invasive scans. This helps us predict complications before they become life-threatening. Our work sets a new gold standard for prenatal care in all settings.
The Women’s and Children’s Health Research Unit leads this transformative effort. This unit at KLE J N Medical College has worked with global partners for more than two decades. This commitment resulted in numerous peer-reviewed studies. We create scalable healthcare models that save lives across the developing world.
Seeing our institutions spearhead global research remains my greatest reward. I have dedicated my lifetime to education and healthcare.
I also thank the Research Unit for the warm felicitation regarding my Padma Shri announcement. Additionally, I officially welcome Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava as the new Vice Chancellor of KAHER. I send my best wishes to Dr. M. C. Metgud and the team for their training. Together, we ensure safer pregnancies and healthier futures through maternal health research at KLE J N Medical College.
