
Prabhakar Kore Felicitated with ‘Veershaiva Ratna’ Award in Mumbai
Padma Shri awardee and KAHER Chancellor Prabhakar Kore received the prestigious Prabhakar Kore Veershaiva Ratna Award in Mumbai on August 16. The Mumbai unit of the All India Veershaiva Lingayat Mahasabha organised the felicitation. The ceremony took place at Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hall in Nariman Point.
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde attended the ceremony. Karnataka Cabinet Minister and Mahasabha President Eshwar Khandre also graced the occasion. Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar attended the event. Former Chief Minister and Belagavi MP Jagadish Shettar also joined the gathering.
Other prominent guests included former MLA Ashok Keni, Chairman of Pandharpur Temple Trust Gahininath Maharaj Ausekar,
Matoshree Drakayani Avvaji and Shri Mahesh Chivate. Maharashtra State Mahasabha President and former MLA Vishwanath Chakote attended the event. Women’s Committee President Uma Naik and Mahesh Mudda also joined the dignitaries.
The speakers congratulated Prabhakar Kore for his decades of public service. They highlighted his contributions to education, healthcare, cooperation, agriculture and social service. They also recognised his efforts to expand access to quality education and healthcare.
His work continues to inspire communities and younger generations.
Furthermore, Veershaiva Lingayat community members attended the ceremony in large numbers. Members travelled from Mumbai and several parts of Maharashtra. Their participation reflected their respect and affection for Prabhakar Kore.
