Vijay Bhaskar, Chief Secretary Government of Karnataka visited Ankali village in Chikkodi Taluka to assess the damage owing to the recent floods and to take stock of the relief works.
Visited the Siddapurwadi and Nanadiwadi factory sites in Chikodi Taluka to oversee the flood relief work. Hearty to note the progress in providing shelter for cattle which is a quintessential part of flood relief in these rural areas.

Patil, Member, Board of Management KLE Society, Heads of institutions of KLE Society at Chikodi, Staff and students were present.
Distributed relief cheques to flood affected families at Ankali to villagers from Ankali, Manjari and Yadur. Hoping that the timely assistance provides support to the flood afflicted.
Visited the Basavanal Gadde Flood Relief Center to oversee the distribution of relief material and aid to the flood afflicted in the region. It is imperative to stand with the rural folk in this time of great despair
Inspected and Monitored Flood Relief Work at Ankali & Manjari, Taluka Chikodi, District Belagavi
The Honorable Home Minister Shri Amit Shahji conducted an aerial survey to assess the damage in the flood affected areas of North Karnataka. Honorable Minister of the Parliamentary Affairs of India, Minister of Mines, Minister of Coal , Shri Pralhad Joshi, Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri B S Yediyurappa and Member of Parliament Shri Suresh Angadi were present. Confident that this will translate into timely assistance and relief for the region which is struggling to return to normalcy.
