
Golden Jubilee Celebration of Mayur Theatre, Ankali – A Grand Cultural Event
The village of Ankali celebrated the Golden Jubilee of Mayur Theatre, marking 50 years of cinematic excellence.
This grand event, named Suvarna Sambhrama, brought together the entire community and leading stars from Sandalwood.
For over five decades, Mayur Theatre established by Dr Prabhakar Kore has been central to Ankali’s entertainment and cultural identity.
It has offered generations unforgettable films, musical experiences, and emotional moments shared on the silver screen.
The celebration began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony at the theatre premises by esteemed dignitaries.
A vibrant procession passed through Ankali, allowing villagers to see their favorite Kannada film stars up close.
The event’s highlight was a live concert by Vijay Prakash, a renowned playback singer and music director.
His team’s high-energy performance delighted the crowd and added musical charm to the celebration.
Popular Kannada film personalities attended, including Ravichandran, Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, Dolly Dhananjaya, and Mandya Ramesh.
Leading actresses Anu Prabhakar, Amulya, and Saptami Gowda also graced the occasion with their presence.
Political leaders such as Muragesh Nirani, MLA Duryodhan Aihole, and MLA Ganesh Prakash Hukkeri attended the event.
Members of the KLE Society and other local dignitaries also participated and supported the celebration.
