
Inauguration of the multi-country, multi-centre WHO REACH Trial of Heat Stable Carbetocin for the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage on Wednesday April 9th 2025. Dr Mariana Widmer, Technical Officer, HRP Division of WHO, Geneva was the Guest of Honour.
JNMC Women’s and Children’s Health Research Unit is leading the trial in India. Ballari Medical College, MGIMS Wardha, SCB Medical College Cuttack, IMS BHU Varanasi and PGIMER Chandigarh are participating in the trial. Incidentally, JNMC Women’s and Children’s Health Research Unit along with MGIMS Wardha and PGIMER Chandigarh are three of the four Indian WHO Collaborating Centres for Research in Maternal and Perinatal Health.
Dr Teesta Dey from WHO Geneva, Mr Thanos Rallis from IQVIA, the trial monitoring agency, Researchers, Site PIs and Co-PIs were present.
