
Karnataka Bank donates an ambulance under CSR to KLE Hospital
KLE Society and Karnataka Bank have joined forces to boost emergency healthcare services in Belagavi. As part of this initiative, Karnataka Bank has donated a fully equipped ambulance to the KLE Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Medical Research Centre. This initiative aims to improve rapid response capabilities and ensure timely medical assistance for patients in critical conditions.
The donation ceremony was attended by distinguished officials from the KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, including Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Gangane, Registrar Shri S.S. Ganachari, Principal Dr. Smt. N.S. Mahantashetti, Vice-Principal Dr. Vishwanath Pattanshetti, Dr. Arif Maldar, and Project Administrator (Finance) Mr. Basavaraj Jawaragikar. Representing Karnataka Bank were Regional Head Mr. Vishwanath S.R. and Senior Manager Mr. Prasanna Pavaskar.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Prabhakar Kore, Honourable Chairman, KLE Society thanks Karnataka Bank for the contribution. He opined that it will further strengthen the commitment of KLE Society to provide timely and affordable healthcare services to people in the region.

KLE Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Medical Research Centre stands as a beacon of excellence in tertiary healthcare across the nation. Spanning an expansive 18-acre landscape, this modern facility boasts over 2,000 beds, with 1,240 beds dedicated to charitable care. It emphasizes on accessibility for those in need. The hospital is distinguished for pioneering organ transplants in the region, having performed heart, liver, and renal transplants. It is on the threshold of venturing into lung and other organ transplants. The hospital offers comprehensive healthcare services across 23 super-specialty departments. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, including 30 operation theatres, advanced laboratories, and a team of over 300 consultant doctors. In addition to advanced and routine healthcare services, the hospital is the regional lifeline for emergency healthcare services.
KLE’s healthcare network, encompassing over 4,500 beds including 1,000 charitable beds, continues to set the gold standard for healthcare nationwide.
