
Neonatology Conference at KLE Society Focuses on Newborn Health
Neonatology Conference at KLE Society brought together pediatricians, academicians, and healthcare experts for KARNEOCON 2025. The event was hosted by KAHER’s J. N. Medical College, Belagavi, from 6th to 8th June 2025. It was organized by the Departments of Neonatology and Pediatrics, in collaboration with the Belagavi Association of Pediatrics, Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS), and the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) Karnataka Chapter.
Importantly, the 25th Annual State conference took place at the KLE Centenary Convention Centre, located on the JNMC campus. The theme, “Improving Neonatal Outcome with Protective and Preventive Care Bundles,” emphasized evidence-based approaches to newborn health. Consequently, the conference aimed to help pediatricians upgrade their skills and improve clinical outcomes for infants.
Moreover, over 350 delegates participated from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, South Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. Throughout the event, scientific sessions highlighted innovations, discussed clinical advances, and focused on preventive strategies. Notably, senior faculty and national experts led high-quality discussions that enriched attendees’ clinical knowledge.
KAHER Drives Learning Through Workshops and Collaboration
Consistent with its academic mission, KAHER continues to lead in knowledge and skill upgrading. Accordingly, the conference featured hands-on workshops, skill-based drills, and interactive sessions. These were designed for pediatricians, postgraduate students, and nursing professionals.
Furthermore, the event reflected KAHER’s strong commitment to collaborative learning. It encouraged participants to exchange insights, debate current practices, and address real-world challenges. As a result, the sessions fostered an environment of mutual learning and innovation.
The inaugural session featured Dr. Manoj V. C., National President of the Neonatology Forum of India. Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Hon’ble Chancellor of KAHER and Chairman of the KLE Society, also graced the occasion. In addition, Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin M. Gangane, Principal Dr. N. S. Mahantashetti, and Project Director Dr. V. D. Patil were present. Together, they applauded the academic depth and practical relevance of the event.
Lastly, Organizing Chairperson Dr. Manisha Bhandankar, Treasurer of NNF Karnataka Chapter, ensured seamless execution. Pediatricians, nurses, counselors, and allied health professionals fully engaged with the sessions. Ultimately, the event provided a valuable platform for advancing neonatal care and professional growth.
