Visit to Jefferson Institute for Bioprocessing at TJU, USA
Integrating the best of academics with a simulated functional commercial setup including technology transfer is a key aspect of modern day learning. Seeking to build on the ongoing collaboration with Thomas Jefferson University (TJU), I accompanied the team from JNMC Women’s and Children’s Health Research Unit on a visit to the Jefferson Institute for Bioprocessing (JIB). This new institution offers a broad range of training programs in process development and biomanufacturing of pharmaceuticals and biologicals. The course offerings include Quality and Regulatory Compliance, Continuous Bioprocessing, Single Use Technologies, Process Modeling and Integration, Analytical Methods and Applications, Technology Transfer, Qualification and Validation. The customised courses are aimed at developing expertise and will enable training of students of KAHER as industry ready professionals utilising the ultramodern, state of the art facilities.#klesociety#research#collaboration#healthsciences
