Dr. Prabhakar Kore addresses Vachanotsava 2026 at KAHER's JNMC campus, where over 1,000 participants performed a mass singing tribute of Basavanna's Vachanas.

The KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research successfully organized Vachanotsava 2026 on the JN Medical College campus. The institution arranged this grand cultural festival through its Kannada Balaga and the KLE School of Music. Consequently, the entire venue resonated deeply with the rich spiritual heritage of Karnataka.

The successful event aimed to introduce the younger generation to the timeless teachings of Jagajyoti Basaveshwara. More than 1,000 students, faculty, and staff from various KLE institutions joined the inspiring gathering. Together, they delivered a powerful collective rendition of 35 selected Vachanas in a unique mass singing presentation. These verses beautifully reflected the eternal principles of equality, compassion, social justice, and the dignity of labor.

Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Chancellor of KLE Deemed University, had the privilege of addressing the large crowd. He emphasized the vital role of Vachana literature in shaping ethical, value-based lives today. Furthermore, he praised the entire KLE fraternity for actively preserving and propagating their rich cultural heritage. Prof. Dr. V. M. Patilshetty, the Registrar, also spoke on how Vachanas foster human values and social cohesion.
