The Event
The KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), Belagavi, felicitated its Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. Prabhakar Kore, following his conferment of the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian honours. The Dr. Prabhakar Kore Padma Shri recognition honours his visionary leadership and exceptional contributions to education, healthcare, research, literature, and nation-building.
The ceremony brought together members of the KLE Society Board of Management, Life Members, university officials, faculty members, staff, and students. During the programme, Registrar Dr. V. M. Pattanshetti presented a special citation on behalf of KAHER. The citation, in turn, recognised Dr. Kore’s unwavering commitment to institutional excellence. Furthermore, it highlighted his leadership in expanding quality education, advancing healthcare, strengthening research, promoting literature, and creating institutions that continue to serve society.
While accepting the honour, Dr. Prabhakar Kore dedicated the Padma Shri to every teacher and staff member of KLE. He noted that their dedication and collective effort had driven the Society’s remarkable growth throughout its 110-year journey. Additionally, on the occasion of Doctors’ Day, he extended his greetings to the medical fraternity. He also encouraged doctors to continue providing compassionate, ethical, and quality healthcare. At the same time, he urged the present leadership to preserve KLE’s rich legacy and thereby ensure its continued growth and progress.
Dignitaries Speak
Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava, Vice-Chancellor of KAHER, described the award as a proud moment for the entire KLE family. According to him, the national honour celebrates Dr. Kore’s extraordinary vision, institution-building, and lifelong service to society.
Likewise, Dr. H. B. Rajashekhar praised Dr. Kore’s leadership in education, healthcare, agriculture, research, and literature. He further observed that the Padma Shri fittingly recognises decades of dedicated public service.
Meanwhile, members of the Board of Management felicitated Dr. Kore amid warm applause. Thereafter, senior administrators, faculty members, principals, and staff joined the celebrations. Overall, the Dr. Prabhakar Kore Padma Shri felicitation reflected national recognition of a lifetime devoted to education, healthcare, cooperative development, and public service.
