Inauguration and commissioning of PET CT-Medicine Nuclear Gamma Camera at KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & MRC, Belagavi

Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Govt. of India while inaugurating Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT Department at the hospital on 13th Jan 2018. He praised Dr. Prabhakar Kore for enabling the provision of  high quality healthcare at affordable costs and especially for offering treatment to the poor and needy at the 1400 beds Charitable Hospital.

Dr. Prabhakar Kore introduced all facilities of the Hospital including Charitable block and briefed the gathering regarding the PET-CT (Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography), a useful tool in definitive detection of Cancer. Dr. MV Jali provided insights into the utility of Radio Nuclear Therapy in the treatment of hyperthyroidism and liver cancer.
