
The Event:
KLE Society participated in the Global investors meet held at Bengaluru from February 12-14, 2025. This event attracted Rs 10.27 lakh crore investment commitment. It is likely to generate over six lakh jobs.
KLE Society at GIM
KLE Society has focussed on societal development since inception. The organization today has 310 institutions providing quality education and healthcare services. We have over 1,40,000 students at our educational institutions. KLE has a healthcare capacity of more than 4500 beds. The commitment to the home state of Karnataka has been and will always be significant.
Dr Prabhakar Kore, Chairman KLE Society along with the Board Members, attended the ‘Global investors meet GIM-2025’ conference held at Bengaluru. KLE Society announced an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore in the next 5 years. This will be in the proposed KWIN (Knowledge Well being and Innovation) City, for education, services and research in the field of health services.
KLE Society signed an MOU to this effect with the Principal Secretary of the Industries Department S. Selvakumar. The commitment of extending the KLE expertise in education and healthcare to the region was formalized. This project is the first investment announced for KWIN city. It will create 1,500 jobs.
Additional commitments
Additionally, the Shivashakti Sugars Ltd, Soundatti, Tq Raibag and Ms Inamdar Sugars Ltd, Hirekoppa, Tq Savadatti, Belagavi Dist have committed an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore and Rs. 250 crore respectively. This investment over the next 2 years will be for sugar and ethanol production. It will generate over 800 jobs in the sugarcane growing belt in North Karnataka. This will also support the livelihoods of the farmers directly or indirectly involved with the Sugar Industry.
Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot, Honourable Governor, Shri DK Shivakumar, Deputy CM, Karnataka, Shri MB Patil, Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries, Karnataka, Kum Shobha Karandalje, Union Minister, Shri Cheluvaraya Swamy, Agriculture Minister, Shri Mahantesh Koujalagi, President, KLE Society and other dignitaries were present.
